Reusable cups, new neighbors, small data

So we have always been proponents of reusable cups and if you have come by with any regularity you have probably seen us try to foist ceramic pig mugs on people in lieu of paper cups. In any case we are exploring two possibilities at the moment.

Cuppow makes sippy lids that fit on to ordinary mason jars. The upside is that mason jars are standardized, easy to find, inexpensive, and recyclable. The downsides are that they break if you bonk them too hard and they get hot on the outside if you put hot stuff in them. We're looking into sleeves and so forth but if you have ideas we're all ears. We could actually sell both the mason jars and the Cuppow lids pretty inexpensively, which would be cool.

The other option we're considering is KeepCup, which we like because they come in cool color combinations and don't break when you drop them. They cost more per unit but they are definitely more stylish.

There is major construction happening across the street! We hear that Design Within Reach will be opening on or near 01 November so if you are into that kind of stuff stay tuned!

We have been making progress on our cash register hacking! Maybe at some point this info will be useful to someone.
